PAINTING as PROCESS

A few thoughts on my artistic practise:

My art emerges without a fixed plan and is understood as an open, physical process.I work primarily with acrylic paint, markers, oil pastel, and spray paint; at times, I extend the pictorial surface with found materials such as plexiglass, mirrors, wood or paper.

Rooted in the tradition of abstract expressionism, my works develop through gestures, ruptures, and deliberate moments of density.

Overpainting and the partial removal of paint levels are integral to the process, making time and action visible.

Roughly drawn signs and symbols condense into a distinct visual language, giving each work a strong presence.
